Condolences
Hendrick Polanco My deepest condolences August 4, 2013

My deepest condolences.  May these few words from the Holy Scriptures bring you comfort in your time of grief...

John 11:32-45

32 And so Mary, when she arrived where Jesus was and caught sight of him, fell at his feet, saying to him: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33 Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping and the Jews that came with her weeping, groaned in the spirit and became troubled; 34 and he said: “Where have YOU laid him?” They said to him: “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus gave way to tears. 36 Therefore the Jews began to say: “See, what affection he used to have for him!” 37 But some of them said: “Was not this [man] that opened the eyes of the blind man able to prevent this one from dying?”

38 Hence Jesus, after groaning again within himself, came to the memorial tomb. It was, in fact, a cave, and a stone was lying against it.39 Jesus said: “TAKE the stone away.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to him: “Lord, by now he must smell, for it is four days.”40 Jesus said to her: “Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Therefore they took the stone away. Now Jesus raised his eyes heavenward and said: “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 True, I knew that you always hear me; but on account of the crowd standing around I spoke, in order that they might believe that you sent me forth.” 43 And when he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice: “Laz´a·rus, come on out!” 44The [man] that had been dead came out with his feet and hands bound with wrappings, and his countenance was bound about with a cloth. Jesus said to them: “Loose him and let him go.”

45 Therefore many of the Jews that had come to Mary and that beheld what he did put faith in him;

The service for remembering Kim on Monday, was a special time. I will remember her for her joy and laughter and her beautiful voice when she sang praises to our Lord. The service was an inspiration to give of ourselves to those around us as Kim was so good at.
Your family is in our prayers as you adjust to life and the new road the Lord has you on. Our God is a redeemer and will give beauty for ashes.

Dear Matt, Abby, Carly and Keaton, We were overwhelmed by the news that just got to us today. We can't imagine your grief. Kim was absolutely everything that everyone is saying. She is such an example of Christian love because she will live on in each one of you. She loved so much to hear how things were going here in Brazil and it thrilled our hearts to see how she loved all people. Her love spread around the world. She will be missed but I know how she loved her family. I can only depend on the Word of God-the Bible at this time. In Psalm 116:15 it says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." He gets this angel with Him and she is there singing His praises for an eternity. A life is well lived if it points to our Savior and glorifies His name. No one on the earth or in heaven will argue that her life was well lived. I give thanks for her smile, her songs, her voice, her love, the way she lived life to the fullest. You will be in our prayers. I am so glad that prayers can touch people from far or near. Love, Ken and Joanne Reutter

Meeting Kim several years ago was a gift.  We would laugh and tell stories but the important subject for Kim was her family.  She loved her family so much.  Even in the hard times she had this confidence that everything would be good because her faith was so strong.  She was beautiful on the outside and her beauty was inside too.  She was kind, gentle and generous to everyone around her.  She touched my heart.  I will never forget the smile in her eyes and her gentle laughter.  God bless the soul of Kim Todd.

Matt, Carly, Abby and Keaton,

There aren't words to express our sorrow at hearing of Kim's passing.  We are praying for each of you often and are so sorry for what you are going through.  God is close to the broken hearted, and thus is very near to you all right now.  We will always remember Kim's beautiful voice and sweet spirit.

In Christ,

I hope Kim is mapping out all the good bike routes for us so we can once again go on our family bike rides when we are all together again.  I miss her so much.  She created beauty everywhere she went.  Three of the most beautiful things she left this world are Abby Carly and Keaton.  Blessings and peace to your family.
Love, Karen
